Accepting Jesus' death and resurrection as the compensation for your sins not only covers your sins but takes them away. Being sinfree thus grants you eternal life in fellowship with God.
This doesn't mean you don't sin anymore as you see from this picture on the right, where Stefan Forsbäck walks against the red light. This means you are forgiven.
